Tim,
The "Pasela" is a great tire for casual around town riding and touring. By shopping around you can get them for a great price. I gave my brother a set for his Birthday and he really likes them. He does a park the car and ride the bike the rest of the way to work commute most mornings.
I use them on my errand bike also.

I used to use Panaracer Pasela on my Orange Clockwork. They are very fast and lasted quite a while. However one blew out major style going under a railway bridge in semi-rough area, the echo sounded as if someone had shot at me, which was a distinct possibility in that area. I had to walk a couple of miles to the friend I was visiting, the same back and got the train back home.
I'd not considered them for the Gitane but I'll have a shop around. |
