I have a '74 Racer 3-speed, boy's 40cm (give or take) which was bought new for me way back when I was only 7. I probably rode this bike for only a couple of years before growing out of it. I'm now 39, and it's been sitting in my parents basement all this time. I was wondering if there is any market for a vintage bike like this? Any ideas of it's worth? Thanks in advance. Steve. |

Definitely a market for those. My advice is to take some nice pictures and post it on Ebay. As for value...well that is anyone's guess. I would start the bidding low and see where it goes! |

We had one of those at the bike shop where I worked. Almost everyone who came in the shop stopped to check it out. It was quite an attention getter, but I don't recall ever selling one. |

Thanks for the input. Well it sold on eBay for $102.50. Not sure if this was a good price or not, but I guess it beats collecting dust in the basement. |
