It's happened, we're now below the 11 toothed high on a cassette since 11 speed rears hit the market. I've not seen this before but Hope have just launched a 9 toothed high on their integrated cassette.
I have a feeling that it won't be too long before other companies at least put out an option to have a 10 toothed rear.
Combined with a 53 front an 11 is a push, a 10 or even the 9 will be a massive push but putting a 9 or a 10 on the rear allows for the compact chainset to take a further hold on the road market. Could be interesting times ahead on this move.
