It is a repaint and has non original brazons, and a bit later components, but it is my first Gitane and I like it a lot. (my first post here too!)
Campy NR group less the wheels (Araya/Suzue)
at some point braze ons were added for water bottles, cable guides and under bottom bracket cable routing, probably a couple paint jobs ago. When I got it, there were multiple layers and just the frame set. Stays have been painted further down as have fork legs due to chrome condition.
Size is 58cm/57cm cc but it rides smaller.

Nice color...
The willow leaf seat stay caps and braze-on rear brake cable bridge peg it as a late 60s Early 70s Super Corsa.
"Size is 58cm/57cm cc but it rides smaller." Huh? 
Gitane measured their frames from the center of the cranks to the top of the seat tube. Their standard sizes were 50cm, 54cm, 57cm, 60cm, 62cm and 64cm and they held pretty closely to those sizes.
I have three 57cm Gitanes from that era. Your frame looks like a 60cm to me. |

| I measured on center 58cc and 57cc for the top tube, the stand over is the same as my 55cm raleigh grand sport, but the bottom bracket is much closer to the ground. |
