Hi this is the white one I picked up several months back and is now my Paris
bike. Someone had converted it into a fixed gear and rushed it together to sell with missing bearings and even an old stem wedge in the steering tube.
I rebuilt it and reworked the "wrong" headset and have a mix of Campy with Stronglight locking ring. Added a single speed Atom freewheel on the Spidel track hub and added Spidel Campy style brakes (very nice pieces).
The rear brake needed a extension piece to reach the rim so I made it out of alu. I have measured all of my Gitanes and this is the only frame that has a higher brake bridge tube. Why?? Drilled out Shimano brake levers to fit the original handle bars and a little bit of decoration and the bike works great.
Very nice ride and it stops well even with the track rims.
