Did Gitane use reynolds 531 tubing in their early 1970s bikes? Looking for an appropriate tubing decal... |

Yes...but only on bikes that it built with Reynolds 531! |

oh gosh.
I was just looking through the pics on the catalog pages, I am pretty sure teh gran sport used 531.
Out of curiosty, what other tubing did they use? |

The only models using Reynolds 531 in the "early 1970's" were the Tour de France, Super Corsa, and Gran Tourisme. Here is the spec sheet:

The Gran Sport did not use Reynolds, but rather straight-gauge steel tubing. |
