Did Gitane use reynolds 531 tubing in their early 1970s bikes? Looking for an appropriate tubing decal...

Yes...but only on bikes that it built with Reynolds 531!

I was just looking through the pics on the catalog pages, I am pretty sure teh gran sport used 531.


Out of curiosty, what other tubing did they use?

The only models using Reynolds 531 in the "early 1970's" were the Tour de France, Super Corsa, and Gran Tourisme. Here is the spec sheet:

The Gran Sport did not use Reynolds, but rather straight-gauge steel tubing.
