Interesting bike. Looks like a late 60s Super Corsa - the foil in the head tube area and the flat top Wagner crown.
You can probably date it by the date codes on the Campy cranks and rear derailleur.
In 1973 Campy started stamping the year of manufacture on the back side of the crank arms: <3> being 1973. You cranks wont have a date code because they're pre 1973.
Rear derailleurs have a date stamp shown in this picture. No stamp = early model.
Your bike would have come equipped with Campagnolo Record high flange hubs. Someone switched them to Campy Nuovo Tipo hubs.
One other thing, I've never seen a steel AVA stem like yours.
Good luck with your sale. Hope someone doesn't buy it to part out. |

Thank you for your sale/post. Are all tubes in good order (no frame dents, cracks, etc) and is the bicycle in fairly good alignment? The 60cm size, is that c-t-c or c-t-t? A private message has been sent concerning my interest to purchase this bicycle for local club riding . Please advise, as the usual frame sizes that are for sale of late are typically to small for me (ie. 58cm or less).
Cheers |
