Does anyone have a reference name or number for Gitane Orange paint? I am repainting a '73 TdF and want to make sure I am getting the right color down. The old paint is not in good enough condition to trust for color matching. Thanks! |

You won't find anyway to reference the "Gitane Orange" like you would for a car etc. You'll just have to find a place on the frame that gives you the best idea of the original color or pick an Orange that you like from swatches at a Body Shop. Take the frame with you if you can.

Check for overspray on the steerer tube. That usually is the best preserved paint on the bike! |
