In a word... NO!

It's an entry level 1974-76 Gitane Gran Sport with different wheels, crank, rear derailleur, brakes, seat and seatpost.

It's WAY overpriced!

These bikes sold new for under $100 with steel components.

It's still going to ride and handle like a $100 bike!

Some fixie-fool will grab it up and take off the derailleur and freewheel. It's a perfect bike for that!

Are you interested in the bike because of the size?

Better quality Gitanes in decent condition come up regularly on eBay and Craigslist frequently for less money.

Someone invested maybe $200-$300 in components which is fine if they wanted to keep the bike. Trying to sell a bike like this is almost always a loosing proposition for the seller because they will rarely recoup their costs.

Thanks for your response. I thought it was over priced. Yes I was interested in it because of the size. I'm 5"5 and I barley see bikes that are in the 49-51cm range. I have a bad back and thought it was nice that the brake were on the top of the bars enabling me to sit more up right. I ultimately want a bike with risers. I can never find those on Craigslist my size..
