Hi all, new to the forum and was wondering if anyone could help shed some light on what model/year this bike is. My old man picked it up for me and it fits great. I think it is a Grand Sport Deluxe as it looks like someone grinded off the original kickstand mounts and as far as I know that was the only model that came with a kickstand. Trying to decide if I wanna restore it or build another fixed gear. Thanks for any help!

It's a 1975 or 76 Gran Sport Deluxe. Looks all original except for the pedals. Among entry level models, these were nice riding, handling bikes.
The head tube badge with the black background is the giveaway for the year.
The decal at the top was used in 1974 and 75. The bottom one was late 75 or 76.

Awesome, thanks a bunch! I will probably restore it then if it is all original. I will do a write up on here when I start the process! Thanks again! |
