The tubular rims alone are worth that $100 asking price, and more.
It would be nice to see some decent drive side photos if you do snag it!
With the Sugino crankset, I'm thinking it could be an early 70's Tour de L'Avinir, but I'm just getting familiar with the model names myself. |

Don't think it is a Tour de France. |

Just looking at the pictures, it doesn't appear to be because:
(1) Chainstay is not chromed;
(2) Dropouts appear to be stamped, and not either Campagnolo, Simplex, or Huret;
(3) The seat tube and decals were not used on Tour de France models;
(4) No downtube shift lever "stop", and brazed on derailleur cable guides for the down tube;
(5) Brake cable stops on top tube don't appear on tour de france model bikes.
I could be wrong, but this appears to be a Grand Sport Deluxe. I can't tell if the fork crown is actually chromed, or if it is a chrome "cap" used on the Grand Sports. The decals could be all off: One thing about Gitane is that you can never count on anything! |

The bike model name is on the small foil decals on the down tube just above the larger Gitane decals.
What do they say?
A lot of components have been upgraded: derailleurs, stem, bars?, pedals and maybe even the Sugino Maxi cranks. |

When you hear hoof beats, think horses not zebras!
It could be a 1970-73 Gran Sport with upgraded components. |
