hey everyone. new to the forum but i just picked up this super corsa the other day and thought i'd share before restoring . the pictures posted are as i found it. once i get to work i'm sure a date will present itself, however i thought i'd make my first post and let whoever have a stab at what year it is. paint is fantastic and the chrome pollishes to a mirror. it's 100% original as far as i can tell(except the brake pads. i'm pretty sure they didn't come with kool stop pads  ) the rear derailleur is an older model and only reads "patent campagnolo". it has mafac "dural forge" brakes and the campagnolo shifters have the built in umbrella for the pump. another characteristic is the all foil head tube decal which i've found not easy to come by. the dropouts are campagnolo and are very clean. if anybody has questions or insight please feel free. value suggestions would also be appreciated!
my best guess is either a '69 or '70
seat tube center to center: 60cm, center to top:62cm
seat tube angle: 73
head tube angle: 74
i'd also be be open to possibly trading or selling it if the offer is right.

My guess is that it may be a 1968 Super Corsa because of the foil on the head tube and the Campy Record rear derailleur.
Could also be a 1969.
Looks like it doesn't need much restoring, just a good cleanup and re-lubing. |

| thanks chas! you pretty much confirmed it. the guy i bought it from swore that when he was doing the regular maintanance he saw '68 stamped somewhere but couldn't remember. i tried looking through all the catalogs i could find but the only year that looked close was the photo from the '70 booklet. couldn't find anything on '69 and when i looked at the '68 catalog i thought it read that the super corsa only came in red or aqua blue. i know catalogs were notorious for being inaccurate but geez, sure makes it hard to identify a bike sometimes. |
