Yo Stephan,
Many thanks for this information and photos. Yes, this looks like a pre-production model. But, we sure have some differentiations, such as the thinner top tube, straighter (even appearing to be reverse angle ) forks, etc. Pretty radical. However, I got light headed (no battery powered bikes for yours truly) until I read further that one model would have a conventional (Ultegra) group. It would sure be nice to set one up with Campag. as a tribute to the great championship winning Gitanes of Anquetil, Hinault, etc. Perhaps I can check with Jean Pierre on this.

REALLY disappointed with the graphics. They have now completely phased out the 'Gitane' name on the Definitive line. I am writing to Gitane, and you should too, to complain. |

Many thanks for this details and images. Yes, this looks like a pre-production design. But, we sure have some differentiations, such as the slimmer top pipe, straighter (even showing to be opposite RS 3 Gold position ) forks, etc. Fairly extreme. However, I got mild advancing (no battery power Cheap Fifa 13 Coins operated motorbikes for yours truly) until I study further that one design would have a traditional (Ultegra) team. It would sure be awesome to set one up with Campag. as a honor to the excellent RS 3 Gold tournament successful Gitanes of Anquetil, Hinault, etc. Perhaps I can examine with Jean Pierre on this. |

I am still bitter about Cycleurope's abandonment of the Gitane name in the high-end market. My 2012 might be the last new Gitane I ever own, and as for seeing them in the pro-peleton again, I have my doubts. Certainly not with the bike pictured here. The "hisgtory" page is notably devoid of any history. How could the marketing geniuses do this to the brand??? http://www.definitive.fr/la-marque-definitive.html |
