I found this bike in my parents garage and just love it. I looked thru the catalogs and cannot come up with a date or how widely it was distributed. Does anyone have inay info to share?

You can search here for info.
As far as anyone knows it was not widely distributed at all and may only have been created as an oddity or discussion piece.
Want to sell? I'll be in Chicago sometime in October.
If you do a search here, you'll find a few people that own them and a bit of info. |

We had one at our shop back about 1973. We brought it in as a conversation piece.
It wasn't there long before someone bought it.
I think that it had smaller wheels with gray tires.
If I remember correctly the bike was rather ungainly to ride! |

You are correct it takes getting used to it to ride it . I found the higher u have the seat the more unstable it was so I lowered the seat so I could lean back a little and then it was a little easier to ride. Its hard to turn and ride at the same time cause the pedals are attached to the front wheel. When u turn u actually have to kinda twist a little . Its funky for sure. |

Here is a pic of the earlier bike I was referring to in ur other post . Note the big front sprocket and no cross support under the seat. Thanks for posting this awhile back Stephan. |

I just found this picture of Francesco Moser on a similar bike.
I realize that FM is Persona Non Grata on this website but just wanted to show the results of years of taking PH substances! |

Lol when I get the gitane 4 wheel Rosalie and the quad sweater I will.
Not joking by the way. almost had a Rosalie out in north bay area for 100 bucks. It had to be a bang bang thing tho . The guy pulled it out dusted it off then his kids started in on him and he pulled the plug on it. It was a gift from the grandpa to the kids . Grandpa was sick and not doing well.another sentimental deal. Even tho the kids didn't play with it no more and it needed some tlc . Still have his email tho he was going to sell it to me. I would have been able to visit with uncle chas . Still might, we'll see. |

Thanks to everyone for the info. Yes we would consider selling it, but I have always loved high wheelers and am kind of attached to this one. I had an antique high wheeler that was real tall and had the hard tires and stuff, and my Dad sold it on me when I went to college. It still hurts.
