Think its a Gitane badged Dilecta. Got it much cheaper than listed. All chrome and outside for a long time! Does have Huret rears with Simplex fork ends. 3 tubes double butted Reynolds but with a smaller than 26.4 mm post-around 25.5!! Dilecta did not exist in the 70's Sugino Mighty cranks look to be original. Any ideas?   Posted: Tue Apr 30, 2013 6:10 am Frenchbuilt Joined: 18 Apr 2007 Posts: 443 Local Gitane expert says Gitane. I found another Dilecta from the 70's and is a Gitane. I know Gitane sold their bikes under different names. Taking apart and looks to be first time anything has been removed. No signs of wrenchs etc. and all pieces date to middle 1970's. Just seat post which is reduced to roughly 25,5 or so. Can see where it is "squeezed down" I think the bike came as in the photos.
