Could this be a Super Corsa frame under that repaint?

I believe it is a Super Corsa, 1972 or so. The bridge on the seat stays for the centerpull brakes disappeared in 1973, and I think the style of the top of the seat stays is 1972 and later. If it is an early 70s Super Corsa somebody has brazed on fittings for a water bottle and for the rear derailleur cable.

Many thanks for the reply. I'm uploading some more picts that I just got from the owner that may help. I will try to have them posted shortly.

Thanks again.

Here are some additional pictures that may help identify the thing. He is asking $250 for the frameset. Though not correct it comes with a SR Bottom Bracket and Headset.

1972 Re-sprayed Super Corsa

As vanhelmont noted in a message, it's probably a 1972 Super Corsa. The brazed-on water bottle and derailleur cable fittings were probably added when the bike was re-sprayed.

Chrome plated forks and rear stays on bikes from that era frequently rusted because of poor plating processes.

When these frames are repainted they frequently paint over the rusted chrome plated areas.

The numbers stamped into the dropouts have no traceable records so are useless.

If the frame fits you it should be a nice rider.

You can get a set of replacement foil decals from Cyclomondo on eBay for about $45.00.

Thanks guys for your replies. Think I am going to pick it up today.

Everyone have a wonderful Memorial Holiday and be safe on the road especially if you are biking. Between cellphones and alcohol all drivers may not be 100% paying attention.
