I doubt that many Gitanes ever came equipped with Campagnolo "Sheriff Star" hubs.
Campy only produced those hubs from the mid to late 80s. They probably have the Campy 10mm x 26 TPI threads whereas most other makes will be 10mm x 1mm pitch.
A quick check on eBay came up with 4 auctions for Campy rear track nuts but they all look like older style nuts.
