I noticed the reserve wasn't met for the Ebay item last night. I had asked the seller if it might possibly be a later model maybe '74--'76 era, It just doesn't seem like the decals indicate a 1971. The seller did not reply to my inquiry earlier last week. Maybe a later 60's. No foil sticker type decals so how could it be a '71??? |

There are a lot of sellers on ebay who don't know shoe polish from excrement! Of lot of these sales are offered by "box and ship" outfits.
Use caution with any listing that has the word "rare" in it as in "RARE French racing bike". It's usually a beat up Peugeot U-08. They were the most common French imports during the Bike Boom of the 1970s.

I noticed last week when the initial reserve was not met, the seller relisted the " Frame & Fork" only instead, of the full bike. Still I was just curious if any other members had a 'feeling' of what model year this frame may be. Listed as an early 70s frame in the latest offer Vs the original offer that listed it as a '71.

It is most probably a mid 1970's bike...1975 or so. Quality frame, no doubt, but a bit haggard in appearance. |
