My TdF downtube decals are in pretty good shape. I just need to figure out what sort of picture requirements are needed.

The seat tube decal, except for one blotch in the middle is pretty good, too.

You can see (slightly blurry) versions here:

I believe the last images for some Super Corsa items will be forwarded to Greg today or later today by Chas. The scanned decals and my photo images were sent to him this past weekend. There is a possiblility that a better or cleaner example of the R fork TdeF decal will be needed. Greg told me that he was finishing some other small projects and hoped to get started on this family of Gitane foil stickers and decals. (If he requests a better example of the fork decal ---we'll get back to your generous offers).

We'll keep members posted on the progress of these early '70s Gitane foil sticker, and decals. As soon as I hear any news from Greg I'll update. As Chas and I have visited, I believe that Greg may be suprised by the requests that he actually receives for these Gitane sets. Let's hope the project comes to fruition---so far the feedback that I've received from Greg about the scanned decal set images and photo images that I've sent has been positive.

As Chas mentioned in his earlier post to Vanhelmont related to the Super Corsa frame. The reproduction 70's sticker & decal sets are underway.

I heard from Greg earlier this evening with some additional images of the top tube and seat tube decals reproductions.

He is working on the project---I think the forum members will be well pleased with his craftsmanship. It's probably been about 10 days ago since he forwarded images of his initial reproductions of the seat tube foil sticker and the headmast and down tube stickers.

I'm telling you the seat tube foil sticker is amazing!!!---and he says it was still needing some "cleaning up" I can't wait to see the final real deal to compare with the original set.

Patience everyone, will do our best to update progress as Greg reports back---I'd just like to wait until he completes the project before sharing any images.

Stephan;

My version of what any number of famous Gitane riders might have said.

I haven't identified which one would have been most likely to say it.

That being said, it's based on a quotation by Ab Jenkins, a non professional racer who held world speed records in the '30s.
