I was told this was a 5-year old NOS frameset when I bought it in the spring of 1988, a replacement for my original, trusty 50's Gitane after we'd been plugged by a bobtail truck that ran a stopsign.

no, its an old wright's saddle I had kicking around, think I bought it NOS from a shop a year or two before the accident for like 4 bucks. The leather's thin compared to a brooks, but its comfy enough. I think this summer the bike will get a yellow turbo, but not if I have to give 50-100 bucks for one like they go for on eBay now! |

Just a few years ago, you could pick up a turbo saddle for $20 on ebay.... |
