This morning I ran upon a Jeunet 10 Speed. Can't find a Jeunet Forum so I'll ask you folks. Appears to be a Model 630 but no 531 designation. All Simplex...front(all chrome) and rear forks, derailleurs, shifters, and cottered crankset. Mafac Racer brakes and Atom QR hubs. Fancy Head tube lugs. To my best, it is all original. All frame and fork decals are there (Franche-Comte) and scuffed up original Light Blue paint with pinstripe details. Overall, sorta, kinda rough shape. Asking $150. Any thoughts? Worth a restore project?

Jeunet was one of the dozen or so brands of French bikes sold in the US during the bike boom of the early 70s.
There was a fascination with silver foil decals made of mylar plastic among French bike makers during the late 1960s to early 70s. If a little is good, too much is better, a concept which Jeunet took to heart.

Jeunets where made in the Franche-Comté region of eastern France which borders Swizerland. Gitane is located in Machecoul in western France near the Atlantic coast.
So aside from both being made in France, using French components and silver foil decals, there's not much more in common.
