I've seen several older Gitane frame now with Musi decals. Does anyone know what exactly Musi was and what the connection to Gitane was/is?

Thanks.

Hmmm...

Andrew Musi owns The Yellow Jersey Ltd. in Madison, Wisconsin. He's been active in the US cycling world since at least 1971. He's much like Oscar who founded American Cyclery in SF.

He may have sold Gitanes back in the day. Email him, he's a really nice guy and a good source for rare items.

Yeah, I know andrew, but the couple frames I've seen have been on french ebay. That would be weird for a frame to be imported by Andrew, then make it's way back to France. HMMMM.

Ah, that totally makes sense, either special shop frames or most likely team frames. Great!

Also, Andrew Muzi is spelled with a "z" and not an "s".
