Oh my...This is by far the weirdest design of a bike that I've ever owned. Snagged it off Craigslist yesterday and for the life of me there's not a spot of info to be found.

As you can guess by the name it's a 3 seater.

It's a very small (very) frame. As in the middle and rear passengers can't be anything other than children or midgets.

It rides on 17" moped/motorcycle style rims, with fully enclosed drum brakes front and rear.

The fork is obviously sourced or designed in the same manner as the wheels.

No speeds...not easy at all to pedal.

By looking at the seats and related equipment I'd say age wise it's from the early 70's or earlier (I believe 60's).

Is there anyone else out there that knows of this style Gitane...or was it a one of for some circus clowns?

Pics will follow soon... Laughing Laughing Laughing

Indeed...It's the exact same model and color. Only difference being that mine (although not perfect) is in much better shape.

A total pig to ride, but man you can't beat the oddity factor

Sorry for the huge delay...finally picked up a camera that can be used with my Mac.

Here she is. We've enjoyed it over the past few months, but we're downsizing to a new home with a one car garage. So, I will be selling it shortly...

Thanks for the help!
