I own a Crescent brand road bike and want to repaint the frame. I wrote to Cycleurope Sverige AB in Sweden asking about getting a set of new decals. (I'm not looking for vintage decals.) Cycleurope Sweden wrote back and said that the Crescent brand road bikes (they call them racer bikes) are manufactured in France. Does anyone know if they are manufactured by Gitane or Bianchi? Both companies have plants in France and Cycleurope Sweden wasn't very helpful in identifying which one. It took a month and three emails to get an answer from Cycleurope, so I thought I'd try this forum. Thanks. |

I recall reading somewhere on this forum that Bianchis are (or were) made at the Machecoul factory that was initially Gitane, and after some mergers also made various other brands. Anyway that would be the first place I would try. Although you might also try to contact the US distributor for Crescent, if there is one these days. |

Is your Crescent bike one of the old orange "pepita" colored bikes or a newer vintage?
