Another one...in Stuttgart, home to a list member....

This one has Columbus dropouts. Beautiful frame, no reserve.

Is it just me or does it appear that the fork tips are all chromed in one picture, and painted in the other?

Stephan,

Simply beautiful. That really is a very special and rare find. Well spotted. I was impressed with the other one that appeared on Ebay a few months back which was also posted here.

The forks look stunning with what looks like a Reynolds crown.

Just noticed - there is an error with the shots of the dropouts of the Gitane. They are not from the Gitane, they are from another bike the same seller is selling - an Olmo. Looks like they loaded the wrong shots.

This link shows the bike they are correctly shown with;

A used Bianchi EL frame recently went for over $1500 on EBay USA but with Colnago forks. That was a staggering price. It amazed me. If this Gitane frame really is NOS it is certainly worth more my opinion.

Tim

Stephan,

You're right, the fork is chrome plated in the closeup picture of the dropout.

This is just about your size isn't it? Twisted Evil

Can you hide it from the Mrs.? Wink

Beautiful frame. If it were my size I'd be checking my savings account balance.

Chas.

I know this frame and also the seller, it is really complete new, its from the same source (big dealer in the black forest) like mine was.
And also the very same frame. Cinelli lugs, Columbus SLX,Campa dropouts just beautiful. A few months ago he was offering it to me, but i allready had one.

And without no doubt the one who buys this, will be satisfied.
Crying or Very sad No i wont get any donation from the seller for this post

best wishes, and good luck
Holger

Holger,

That's a nice machine that you have there. Thanks for posting.

Do take a shot from the other side of the bike and post to the Owner Gallery.

By that way, what is the thing wrapped around the seat post?

Tim

Holger,

Thanks, and now that you've posted the shot I remember it from an earlier post.

That's a really neat leather bag. I've never seen one before.

Tim

i inquired about this frame back when i was bidding on the delta.the seller wanted 5oo euros back then which was over 7oo bucks. then add in the shipping. i just couldnt pull the trigger on it.it is a beauty. i opted to buy ortlieb bags for the grand tour. the euro was really slamming the dollar then.
