I rode this morning at around 7:00. It was around 50 degrees... Will be 80 today, clear blue skies. Been riding twice. The last time I went because the snow had melt. Unfortunatley the bicycles-only road was covered with...ice. My balls have shrunk to something like half their original size. It's been in the high 60s (°F) to almost 80° F with Cloudless blue skies. The downside is that I'm still trying to get over the plague so I haven't been out riding and we're going into the second year of a drought. This is normally our rainy season and so far we've had less than 1/2" (12mm) of rain this month! I have NEVER heard of a year where California was not in a drought. Ever. Let me know what year we had ample rainfall and they pronounced that we were out of a drought, and you will win an "attaboy". Suffering 80 degree days in January with cloudless skies are just one of the many sacrifices we make living in California. Of course we have to put up with the idiots that make up our state government...and Bay Area hippies and Los Angeles hipsters...but all in all it is a good trade-off. Edit: Forgot to add...the highest tax rate in the friggin country...but we are still headed for bankruptcy. Idiots. But it is warm.
