Adrian,
We're pretty familiar with this superb site. The Gitanes, and other bicycles make for a very special collection indeed.
Thanks for the post. For me, there's always an excuse to browse it once more. Thanks for another excuse.

I think I have been there before, but I didn't remember, so it was all new to me again. It is like I am a goldfish.... |

Sandman, I am expecting you to use a goldfish as your avatar from now on. |

How are things in Australia? I hear it is pretty warm....
Did you have a chance to get out and see the TDU? |

Well, South Austealia & Victoria have had it pretty bad with temps up around 42. Sot that's over 107F. Insanely hot is how LA described it. Up here in Queensland, it's been up tomid 90'sF but with the added bonus of 110% humidity. Just lovely.
No, no TDU for me. I saw it on the web in my A/C office. A cousin of mine went this year. His first big bike race experience. Said he had a great time, and Lance says to say hello. Smart ass!
So, are you folks all gee'd up for the Tour of Calif? The boys here were pretty ripped for this early in the year, so Calif should be pretty intense racing. Is LA riding? If so, I reckon he'll try to pull off a stage win in front of the home crowd. He was still a little under-done at the TDU. (a good thing for July) |

I hear Lance is riding. I don't think he is going to go for any wins though. His home is Texas...not Cali...and it is pretty early. all of the local teams make the riding too fast for a "gift".
I am bummed they are allowing Floyd Landis. Lance made a comment that people accepted Millar back with open arms, and they should do the same for Landis. However...he misses the point: Millar ADMITTED that he did drugs, and took the punishment. To this day, Landis DENIES he did anything wrong.
As my old law school professor used to say: "It's a difference that makes a difference." |
