aarrrrrruuuuuu? (how do you spell that sound that Tim-the-tool-man-Taylor makes?
Well, now that I've had a read through their website, I know as much as you.
Keep in mind the exchange rate. $50AU = $40.42US at the moment. That's going to be pretty respectable even with freight to the US.
I would think the 3mm plate more than sufficient for a road set up. The 4mm is really for the hard core courier/fixie rider.
I would also ignore the caveat regarding lessened shifting performance since we are really talking about using this with 30 year old equipment that pre-dates the ramped/sloped/pinned (read: pre-worn ) chain-rings of modern times. It should shift just like original Campy/Stronglight.
Other than that, for a $40.42US donation, I'd be happy to test one on behalf of all our forum members.......
Furthermore, please do you bit for the ailing Australian economy in these tough economic times.......... Buy AUSTRALIAN MADE!!!
OK, seriously. I might get one and have a look. Will report back soon. |
