This is an amateur race of 85, 115 or 165km in the french alps (roughly 2000 competitors). Just as we were having lunch in an italian restaurant, my brother noticed Thierry Marie just finishing his own meal with his wife. As he was leaving, we asked him if he would sign a few things and he kindly agreed on signing our 1986 yellow jerseys (we brought a few jerseys with us because ex-pros often compete there or make a sponsored appearance). He was very cool and looking forward to the race on sunday.
