Hello My name is Jim.
I run South Country Vintage and Custom Bicycles.
I have a Gitane I just picked up and I don't now what it is. it will be for sale.
anything to avoid FeeBay so make me an offer over 200.00
it has
mavic wheels
modolo brakes
shimano 105 fd rd
it says Vitus on the rear dropouts
and vitus depose on the bb

I listed it on ebay starting at 100.00. it is cosmetically flawless.. I might just keep it along with bianchi..

My vote is that you keep it, sell the Bianchi,and ride the Gitane. |

I agree with Stephan. Except for the top few models, Bianchis are a dime a dozen (but way overpriced on eBay) especially the Asian produced models.
Gitanes from the mid 70s on were not real common in the US compared to the "Big 4" European makers, Raleigh, Pujoe, Moto and Bianchi.
The mid range and up Gitanes are really great riding bikes too!
