Hi all
I am seeking the small cable anchor used to fix the rear brake cable at the brake bridge, as shown in this ebay TdF picture:
Is this a MAFAC part? Is it available? Nice bike, BTW and good detail shots. It came in handy! Thanks Chas! |

The originals are going to be hard to find because they used a small diameter adjusting screw.
I've used cable adjuster stops off of old lower end Weinmann and Dia-Compe brakes. they should still be readily available.
Check with the Yellow Jersey (send them a picture).

The Third Hand also probably has them (send them a picture too).
These are probably the parts that you need:

You may have to file the mounting hole in the bridge a little.

Thanks, Guys
I did look at Third Hand but they are gone till the end of next week. It looks like those similar pieces may work. I will keep my eyes open.
Jay - thanks for the offer for the threaded adjuster. I will PM you.
BTW - the Super Corsa is almost done! I will post some pictures soon.
Thanks again - Jim |

Just nit picking, but the nut on the seatpost clamp bolt is on backwards. There's also supposed to be a small thin washer the same size as the round part on the nut that goes against the seat lug. It keeps the nut from tearing up the eye on the lug.
There's a washer under the nut but it's hard to see. Also, this is what the correct Gitane rear cable adjuster looks like.
