Yes but does Schwarzenegger have one of these?

Austrian National Cycling Team Jersey, not sold in North America, had it sent from Vienna.

similar to Germany.

Is he a good Gouvernor?

We don't get into politcal discussions on this web site, that's why it's so pleasant here! Laughing

I was involved with a Swedish company in the 1980s (thus my Forum name "verktyg" meaning tool). They used to take us to Sweden every year. It was always the week before Midsomers Nact (mittleres sommerNacht - mid summer's night - the Summer Solstice). That far north, there was 20 hours+ of daylight. Very Happy

Every trip our hosts would fly us to visit one of their facilities in another European country for a few day. One year there were snow flurries in Københaven on the night of June 21! Shocked

After 3 trips to the center of Western Europe, I realized that the weather is terrible there in the summertime! Crying or Very sad

Chas. in sunny California - eat your hearts out! (but remember, we have 4 seasons here: flood, fire, earthquake and drought) Twisted Evil

Like Chas. said, we don't get into political discussions here.

But to answer your question: No. He has not been a good governor. Debt has skyrocketed due to his inability to make tough decisions and stand up to the left-leaning wacko legislature in California. After several of his initiatives were defeated by well-financed unions who were able to sway a gullible electorate, he seemingly gave up on trying to reign in the out-of-control spending in this state, which is nearing (or is currently in) financial ruin.

last post not Gitane related, i swear!

sad to hear that, i liked him, especially his early movies like Conan
(knocking out the camel scene)
also the way he made from a small town in Austria to Hollywood.
5 or 6 years ago i saw him in the factory i work for, picking up some
cars (i think a 911 Turbo and an Cayenne Turbo) i remember eyeryone
allways thought he must be about 2m tall, but he i´snt, he is relative
small. He was very friendly to the people, and the crowd was shouting.
I know he owns a lot of Porsche cars.

So know i am waiting for my evapo rust remover, to clean up that old
Gitane Frame.

best regards, Holger

I love(d) his movies, specially when I was in high school and college. Predator was the best ("If it bleeds, we can kill it"). My second favorite would have to be "Hercules in New York". It was his first movie, and his voice was dubbed.

I think it is cool that he awards the leader's jersey during the Tour of California when it stops in Sacramento. Good to see him support cycling.

I don't think I have ever seen Schwarzenegger riding a Gitane. (Gitane content). Wink

In America you elect mindless celebrities.
In Australia we elect mindless bureaucrats.

Not sure which is worse......... or if it matters.

Wisey,
I want to respect the prohibition; perhaps I can, merely, skirt it. I think that you got it just about right. I would take the latter over the former in no time flat. However, I cannot afford to move to Australia at this time.

(Just a note to any newer members who don't know me very well. Please don't be offended if I write something political or religious. Please assume a large amount of Aussie sarcasm. If I have something serious to say to you, I'll put it in a PM. I do try to keep it on the humourous side........... really. Twisted Evil )

Peter, don't bother coming here. We are trying very hard to become another State of the USA, or so it seems sometimes. Rolling Eyes

Chas: Yeah, same same. Vienna Boys Choir is playing at the local park next week. Laughing

I just had sinus surgery 4 weeks ago and had Schwarzenegger to thank (Total Recall) in being able to describe to folks what it was like to have the packing removed from my sinus cavities.

I did ride my Gitane Sprint to the 3 week follow up appointment in 40 degree F windy/rainy weather. (my Gitane content) The doctor thought I was nuts for riding there.

Australia/Austria/Germany/France; all good choices. I cannot handle pain as well as I once did.

I do not believe that shipping my Gitanes (plus any others that I might obtain in the interim) to whichever destination would be a major problem.
Bienvenue,

If that frame is French, everything will be in METRIC, threads and tube diameters. Maybe this spec sheet can help.
