Hi, first i want to say hello, i`m from graz (austria) the hometown of the world famous PUCH - AUSTRO DAIMLER bikes and arnold schwarzenegger Very Happy
but now i got a 28 year old gitane and i think after restauration this bike would be a great thing..
mayby there is anyone, who knows a bit more about this bike..

Blackmind,

Welcome to the forum.

You have one of the aero machines, possibly the Profil 3, with, what looks like, most of the Shimano 600 AX group - a very nice groupset indeed. The bike looks to be in lovely condition.

..i want for the frame a new painting, but in the same colour..

..is there any chance to get new decals anywhere?..

Not that design (regarding the decals). There are similar vintage decals available on Ebay from the seller "Cyclomondo", but he has not developed that design yet. If you take detailed photos and send them to him, he may actually make you some and make them available for purchase. It is worth a try.

Nice bicycle...but check the rear derailleur. Something seems very wrong there.
