| That is likely a 1970 or so. Early 1970's. The derailleur may have a stamp on it with the year. That will give you some indication as well. It might have a '70' or '71' impressed somewhere on it (Simplex did this sort of thing). |

Thanks for the reply...I will look to see if it is stamped...I wont chop this one up but here is a picture of one that is..Oh this is not mine but I made one similar and gave it to a friend... |

Greetings,
Many digital cameras don't process reds and oranges well. Is the bike a lighter orange color than pictured or is it red?
I don't recall ever seeing a Gitane Mixte with drop bars and Mafac Guidonett under the bar "touring" brake levers. They either had upright bars with Weinmann levers or Mafac Ville brake levers.
The bike shop sticker looks like it says "Marholin ??" "World Famous ?" "West Hartford?"
Looks like a 1970-73 model, maybe one made for the European market or someone changed the brake levers. |

| The bike is Orange in color...I plan on cleaning it up and will probably flip it...I have enough bikes if it was a Mans frame I would think twice about the flip..Any Idea the value of the bike..My guess with new tires about $125.00....? It's not a Diamond in the rough is it..LOL.. |
