I am sure I have asked you this before...but living in Nantes, there must be a boat-load of used Gitanes around, right? |

i'll tell you more about that later in march(after the next Troc'athlon.....the main sport supermarket sells with no fee its customers obsolete stuff)...
and as i may have already said...many more low to mid-range bikes than stuff worth be seen here.
but did i mention that i met a collector who got a road "delta" new from the factory(and free of course ) funny thing is that he was said to be forbidden to sell it or to RIDE it .
i'll manage to take my camera when i'll get to visit his collection. |

I just showed my wife your message...and my wife asked me if I had told you that Nantes was our #1 target destination in France. My wife really wants to do a home exchange, so that we can take the kids to the Jules Verne museum. As for me...I just nod and say "great", knowing full well that the main reason I want to go is to be close to Machecoul, and the u-boat pens in La Rochelle..... |

Hi Stephan,
great idea to settle down in Nantes for a vacation.
Ocean is close for your girls,Yffiniac is a tad more than 2hours away, machecoul of course,Paris is 2 hours by train(but at a cost for a family)
Please ask for any help;you're welcome.
Did you know than arrivals in TDF's stages in Nantes were held at the "boulevard des Américains"...BTW two blocks from home |

The web page for Gitane in Australia has been down for some time now. I wonder if they have packed it in? |
