Karl,
The Catalog is beautiful. Stephan (Site Owner) may ask you for permission to add it to the Catalog section of this site.
Thank you for posting this.
Kind regards,

Well...
I wonder if the 1982 UK catalog listed models that were "universal" or those built for the UK market. Any one know the answer?
My area of Gitane experience (notice that I didn't say expertise) covers from the late 60s through about 1976. What I know about 1984, 85 and 86 model Gitanes comes mostly from this site and other internet sources. So, I anxiously await new Gitane info.
But remember, there are absolutely no absolutes in the bike world and "Is it wrong... or just French!".

Karl, Welcome to the forum. First what a striking Red cycle--and it appears to have been well cared for. I really like the wheelset color. But also what a nice catalog -- and -- a neat site for viewing and paging through the catalog.
Thanks for sharing.
I Like Steel !!!!!

I would have bet money that the bikes we got here were that same as (or even from) the UK. But the stuff I see on ebay here more closely resembles the US products. |
