Another case of BMS - Bicycle Modesty Syndrome!
No public display of the obscene right side of the bike showing the working "privates".
I've been trying to figure out why so many bike sellers only post pictures of the left sides of bikes when the right side has the most important features.
Is it because many riders mount or rather get on the bike from the left side??? Or is it basic mechanophobia!
Mechanophobia: An exaggerated or irrational fear or dislike of machinery.
I've come up with a design for a "modesty skirt" for the right side of bikes, something like this one for dogs!

I just think most people are clueless as to what makes a bike valuable. As the owner of the gitaneusa site, I get emails all the time that go something like this:
"I have a Gitane that [insert self or relative here] bought in the 1970's. It is a ten speed model. What is it worth?"
Hmmmmmm. |
