Let's hope the Saur team has a better day than in yesterdays Omloop (Het Volk). Only two of them finished, and they were never a factor. You can follow the race live on www.cyclingnews.com or watch it for free on:

Weather looks TERRIBLE out there. Should be a major factor. |

This from cyclingnews in re: the weather:
15:03 CET
We will have a change in the course. The Cote du Trieu has been scrapped. The climb would have been 70 km before the finish. The winds have knocked a tree down over the road.
15:08 CET
There wil be another change in the course. The race was scheduled to end with two laps of a circuit course, but it has now been cut back to only one lap. |

Boonen just climbed into the team car a bit before the finish line. Stijn Devolder crashed into a trash can. It's raining, and they are climbing on cobbles.
For any of you that care, it is clear and sunny here in California. Supposed to be a spectacular day. |

Bobbie Traksel (Vacansoliel) takes the win in a great cat-and-mouse finish with his two breakaway companions! Good stuff. I have to say that I am glad, for some reason, that Sky didn't win. I will have to figure that one out. Really no reason for that.
No word from Saur...but I will add it as soon as possible. Now...must suit up and get on my bike to enjoy this beautiful day on my Gitane!
Provisional Results:
1 Bobbie Traksel (Ned) Vacansoleil
2 Rick Flens (Ned) Rabobank
3 Ian Stannard (GBr) Team Sky
4 Hayden Roulsten (NZl) HTC-Columbia |

I don't know if this is accurate, but cyclingnews.com is reporting that only 26 of the riders actually finished the race today, on account of the miserable weather. None of the Saur riders are listed as finishers.
