Hello,

i found this bike in small advertisements.

Maybe someone can help and tell me more about the model (when/where its built). Maybe its built in the begin of the nineties.

I know there is an gearshift (?) called sachs rival sport.

It is difficult to say, because we have some gaps in the early 1990's. However, based on the fuzzy picture, I would imagine that the bicycle was built in approximately 1991. The model will be a bit difficult because of the poor quality of the picture.

The striped seat looks those on some of the bikes in the 1990 French catalog.

In the 1994 French catalog most of the bikes were listed with either Campy or Shimano derailleurs.

In reference to the Sachs Rival Sport derailleurs, Sachs dropped the Huret name from all of their products in 1991. Since this is most likely a German model bike it used Sachs derailleurs instead of Campy or Shimano.

The "Miami Vice" pastel stripes probably fell between 1990 and 1994.

BTW, the Sachs and Sachs Huret derailleurs worked quite well.
