Hey, I'm new here, just wondering if anyone has any more info about this Gitane for sale on CL in Portland:

It's a good size for me which is rare, but it seems a little expensive. Am I looking at a gem, or a clunker? It has Suntour gear and cottered cranks, according to the seller. |

| a little high on the price id offer him 50 to 75 for it and get rid of the cottered cranks , but its probably french threaded bb witch is a pain and $$$ to buy a new bb and put on regular cranks , but if its ur size which looking at it is big, big bikes r hard to find, chas u care to chime in ? anybody else who has one on here? |

You nailed most of it Lofter. The bike is an early 70s Interclub model so it's strictly a rider not a show bike.
I was thinking $150 max but maybe $75, $100 max is a good price. Seller should put "Fixie" in the description and he could get $300 for it!
