The same bike is on Ebay right now (Item No. 290417012745). I think opening bid price is $600. Still probably too high for this bike....that might be an ending price, but shouldn't be the start.

Stephan,

The 1984 catalog specs say they were made in 52cm, 55cm, 57cm and 61cm. Of course those were always nominal sizes!

Mine is 53.5cm c-c or 54.5cm c-t with a 55 cm top tube (21" c-c or 21.5" c-t). Stand over height with sewups is 31" (787mm).

Buy it so you wont be vulturing me any more! Laughing

If it's too big we can trade! Wink

lofter,

How are you measuring your 54cm and how closely?

I prefer measuring from center to top for my own use. All 3 of my other 1984 Gitanes are right on the money at 55cm but the 84 Team Pro is 54.5cm.

Since all of these measurements are nominal translations from metric to inch and vise versa what difference does it make? Have you ever heard the tale of the Princess and the Pea or Goldilocks? Shocked

Big deal? Confused

On a 50+ mile ride .5mm (less than a 1/4") means I can have the bars 1/4" higher and my bad old neck thanks me... Wink

I know, I could use one of those 225mm long Nitto Technomic stems but they look too geeky for my vanity! Cool
