My oldest daughter has said she'd love to ride on a tandem with me. So, of course, I start looking.
This was posted in June so may not even be available. It seems to be a 1975 or 1976 model. Anyone know anything else about the Gitane tandems. It seems they made several different models.

| Yep, I saw that. Am actually more interested in anyone's experience with a Gitane tandem. How's the ride? |

No experience, but I looked into it (via google) and several people had problems with parts such as headset and hubs, which I understand are units intended for 1-person bikes, and might not stand up to the stresses in a tandem.
I figured that both of us being light we could probably get by with it, and would have tried it, except transporting it somewhere to ride would have been troublesome. |
