Hi - we have an old tandem Gitane bike that has hardly been ridden, but was recently and seems to be in great shape. There is a number on the bottom: G183873 with 11 under that. Can anyone give me an idea how much it would sell for?

Your bike appears to be a 1984 Gitane Rallye Tandem.

The 1983 version of this bike had a list price of $649.
Mid August is a little late in the season to get top dollar for a tandem. It looks to be in good condition. A wild guess would be at least $500.
Do you live near a locale with a Craigslist? It might be easier to sell locally because the buyer can do a pickup. Sales on eBay usually require shipping the bike. Packing and shipping on a tandem can run at least $150.
