I just picked up a 1971? Super Corsa from Keith in Portland. this was a bike that many of you commented on several weeks ago on this page when he was trying to find out more info about the bike and its value. Thank you for all of your comments helping him (and me!) discover what he had. I am in the process of cleaning it up and rebuilding pedals, hubs, etc... and had a few questions about what I've got here.
It seems to have had a few parts substituted over the years; most notably the Stronglight 49 crank, pedals, and the sidepull brakes. The brakes are Universal 68 calipers matched? with Weinmann levers. The rear brake bridge was removed at some point in the past, probably when the switch to sidepulls was made.
I have a set of Campy sidepulls that would go better with the component mix on the bike (mostly Campy). Does anyone know a source for the brake lever covers, either original or reproduction? My camera is on the fritz; I will post photos of the bike when I can. There are some photos on Keith's old post "Super Course?" at the bottom of the Forum page for anyone interested. Thanks! John |

Hi John,
I was tempted to snag Keith's S.C. from him too, but its a couple of sizes too small for me so it's cool that it found a good home and that you're cleaning it up as it looked to be fine condition from the pics I received!
Cheers,

John,
Contact Robbie Fellows in CA. He makes some beautiful reproductions of the early hoods. Here's his email:
