i have enjoyed reading posts and appreciate the knowledge and experiencce shared by many on this site. I recently purchased a Gitane tandem, guessing from the frame style around 1986. Would anyone know the threading for the BB and steer tube? I doubt it's French but don't know if maybe Swiss or English! Input greatly appreciated.
Mike

Most likely English.

Are there any numbers on the bottom bracket cups? I have several that have 1.37 X 24 on them. If you do that will help. I'll agree with Stephan, though, if it is a 1986 you're mostl likely English threading.
