Just got off the phone with my uncle in France - this one's boxed up and ready to go. Hopefully all the striking over there will end soon and not create any further delay.
He also mentioned a neighbor of his who used to wrench for the RMO team in the mid/late 80's. Apparently they rode Gitanes for a season.

Hi TT
Do you think you may be able to set up an interview with your uncle's neighbour? RMO rode gitanes in the early 90's. It would be interesting to hear the perspective of the mechanic. Generally they are far more knowledgable and have a better memory of the equipment than the pros themselves.
Cheers,
