Hello guys,
Because my mother tongue is not English or France, does anyone can tell me the pronounciation of “GITANE”? Thank you.

I heard that that pronunciation changes, depending where you live and the amount of sun exposure you get. Living in the Northwest, we pronounce Gitane as follows:

Gee
I
TAN
Ez

... because our skin is the color of bass-belly-white with all the liquid sunshine that moisturizes our skin Wink

The fellow that managed the shop where I bought my first Gitane and later worked part time for a while had a Masters Degree in French.

He was always correcting our pronunciation...

"IT'S ZHE-TAN!" he'd always tell us. Wink
