Not definite it is a Gitane, was not sold as one. Without knowing who made similar looking bikes with Vitus cable guides; it is a start.
Now i think i have narrowed it down, but this had had new forks and a refinish. From the top tube features, i think i have got it down to looking like 84 Team Pro, 86+85 Professional, 87 RS. Now, from looking around i notice the number fixing changes between years, but i cannot be sure what goes where.
