1973 60cm Gitane Tour de France on eBay

This is one of the nicest looking Gitane Tour de France bikes I've seen listed for sale online. If it were my size, I'd do a Buy It Now!
The paint shows a normal amount of chips and scratches for a 38 year old bike but the color doesn't look like there is any fading.
It's all original except for the saddles and clinchers instead of sewups.
Someone save this bike from a life in fixiedom or even worse, being parted out! (not a recommendation, just my opinion)
I've been in contact with the seller and he is going to be listing an identical 60cm orange TdF too. |

I agree. And this one is in my state - originally sold in the city 45 miles from me. Even the ones I might be remotely interested in on Craigslist lately have all been too big. |

Thanks, I've messaged back and forth with a guy on E-bay a couple times so we'll see what happens.
If it doesn't sell I'll probably just have the guys at the LBS pull the cranks for me since I don't own a Stronglight puller yet and I'll service it and then really see how it fits me.
I only gave it a short test ride last fall and I do hate to part with it but money is tight and truth be told it is at the low end of the size scale for what I can ride. |

Finally a bunch of frames for my size (the 6ft+ guild)!
For so long, the only frames that were being sold on ebay were for the midget brigade! 
Perhaps they should have 2 ebay sites (eBayTall, eBayShort), LOL.
